Kapaisi Technology – License Plate Recognition System

Kapaisi Technology – Advantages of the Offline License Plate Recognition (LPR) System

System Overview

The offline license plate recognition system uses high-definition LPR cameras to capture images and recognize license plates of vehicles entering the parking lot. The data is sent to a dedicated controller and uploaded to the computer system for vehicle guidance and access control. At the exit, HD cameras identify the leaving vehicle and, depending on the system’s state, either the controller (in offline mode) or the computer (in online mode) decides to open the barrier for registered vehicles, storing all data. Optional voice prompts and LED displays can broadcast and show vehicle information. Temporary vehicles are managed based on parking duration, enabling full entry-exit monitoring.

1. True Offline Access for Monthly Rentals – More Reliable System

Utilizing patented technology, monthly-rental vehicles can enter and exit normally even when the system is offline. Voice and LED displays provide user-friendly guidance, and all records are stored in the controller. Once the PC resumes operation, the data is automatically uploaded. This solves the issue of “gate opens but no record” common in current systems and eliminates soft recognition system failures during offline periods.

2. First-of-its-Kind: Offline Charging for Temporary Vehicles – More Advanced System

Whether one PC, multiple PCs, or even a failed server, temporary vehicles can still enter the lot, and exit charges can be processed offline. Charging is unaffected by server or network status. Even in the event of a network outage, temporary vehicle billing continues uninterrupted, ensuring consistent operations during emergencies.

3. Voice & Display Remain Active When Offline – More Thoughtful Notifications

Even during offline periods, voice announcements and LED screens continue working normally. All entry data is stored locally and automatically uploaded once the system is back online. This resolves the issue of display and voice failure during offline operation seen in many existing systems.

4. Mobile App Entry & Exit – Better Emergency Handling

In case of camera failure, the “Smart Parking” mobile app can be used to scan license plates for vehicle entry and calculate fees upon exit. The app can broadcast fees and open the gate after payment. During peak exit periods, the app can also assist in payment processing to reduce staff pressure and improve overall property management efficiency.

5. Flexible Electronic Payment – More Options for Drivers

Supports self-service payments for temporary vehicles and self-renewal for monthly rentals. Multiple payment methods are available, including WeChat Pay, Alipay, and UnionPay. This eliminates the need for cash change, speeds up vehicle flow, reduces labor costs, and increases parking space turnover and revenue.

6. Video Stream or Loop Trigger Recognition – More Intelligent Options

The system supports both video stream recognition and loop coil trigger recognition. Depending on site conditions, the appropriate method can be selected to maximize recognition efficiency and accuracy, ensuring greater adaptability and scientific decision-making.

7. Dual-Camera Recognition for Complex Environments – Higher Accuracy

In environments such as curved roads, multi-directional traffic, or wide lanes, dual-camera recognition can be enabled to greatly improve recognition accuracy.

8. Fuzzy Logic Technology – Smarter, Easier Operation

Mature fuzzy recognition algorithms further enhance recognition rates by improving license plate localization and character recognition. Combined with a user-friendly interface, the system offers higher accuracy and ease of use.
